What kind of work will I be doing?

You’ll begin as an entry-level customer sales and service representative. Our reps schedule appointments to introduce potential customers to Cutco through one-on-one demonstrations. This can happen in person, or online. It’s not your ordinary 9 to 5 position, and we’ve found that people enjoy the flexibility and opportunity the position provides.

-Calling clients

-Setting appointments

-Meeting the clients

-Presenting our products

-Answering questions

-Helping clients place their orders

What will my schedule be like?

Your schedule is entirely up to you. As a sales representative, you are able to set your own appointments and determine how many you’ll complete each week. Don’t worry about things like minimum hours or unpredictable calendars; you can set your own schedule week-by-week based on when you’re available to work.

Are there any start-up costs?

No, we don’t make you pay to work. Once you complete training, you’re loaned a sample set. As long as you remain active in business, you’ll be able to borrow a sample kit for your demonstrations and show potential customers exactly how great our products are. If you eventually decide you don’t want want to continue promoting Cutco, just send the sample kit back and you’re good to go.

How am I paid?

Our reps earn 10%- 30% commissions for every sale made. We also offer a base pay of $17 per qualified appointment. This means you’re guaranteed to earn at least $17 for each qualified appointment completed, whether or not you close the deal. Most people buy, so most of our representatives earn commissions (more than $17 per appointment.)  Our top representatives earn a grand or two their first week on the job.  We pay you at the end of each week so you can easily see the results of your hard work!

How do I get appointments?

You would call clients that you have been recommended to, or people you are personally connected with.  Most representatives like to start their paid training appointments with people that they are connect with (so that they are comfortable).  The majority of the position involves meeting with clients that have been referred by other clients. Due to the friend of a friend approach, appointments are easy to get; our representatives can schedule as many as they want!

Do I need experience?

There’s no experience necessary. We provide all the training you need to succeed as a sales representative. The initial training seminar is a two day program led by experienced Titan Division Professionals. You can participate in these interactive, fun, and engaging sessions at a local office. We also offer ongoing training sessions and conferences so you can keep learning.

What are the qualifications?

Applicants need to be at least 18 years old. Not yet 18? You’re welcome to apply if you’re 17 years old and have also graduated from high school. We look for people who are:

  • Open minded

  • Willing to learn

  • Coachable

  • Positive thinkers

What does it take to be successful?

Successful representatives are committed, positive, and communicate frequently with their local office. This open line of communication is important because our offices are filled with supportive, fun, and experienced people who want to help you succeed at the level you desire.

How do I qualify for scholarships?

As a company, we award scholarships to students each year. To be a candidate for one of our scholarships, you must be a full-time college student and be among the best performers through a sales campaign.

Still not sure?

No problem. The best thing you could do would be to come into the location closest to you and meet face-to-face with the manager and see the office and staff with your own eyes. You can do that by filling out an application to schedule a time to meet with us.
